The
chips are flying at CLAAS GUSS in Gütersloh
Bielefeld-based
jobbing foundry CLAAS GUSS GmbH started up its
own machining operations at its Gütersloh
site in March 2009 as scheduled.
The service now caters for every link in the chain
from design engineering support right through to
the delivery of machined and, where required, coated
parts. The potential for improvements is particularly
great at the point of intersection between the
production steps of casting and machining. Close
coordination has always been important here. With
both services now combined under one roof, the
potential synergy effects are enhancing the competitive
position of the company in the market. Customers
who avail themselves of this service are spared
all manner of coordinating work at interfaces,
which can greatly simplify buying processes.
